This song was originally recorded in Norwegian as "Fotspor" on the Polydor 1982 release ".login" under the artist name HolmCPU. Over the years it became an underground classic for DJs throughout Europe and in 2017 saw a resurgence of interest with a remix release by famed DJ Todd Terje and other DJ artists. Footsteps is the first English language release of the song with Atle Bakken at the producer's helm.
